- I was shocked when I found out I was pregnant halfway through dental school. When complications developed around 28 weeks, I took a leave of absence from school. After a year at home with our baby, I went back to dental school in January 2010. That summer, I filed for divorce from my husband. This blog is about my life as a single mother in dental school.

I just came across your blog at top baby blog! I wanted to read it because you were unexpectedly pregnant. So was I - I was on birth control pills when I conceived! My name is Julia also (I thought that was funny) Your daughter is too cute!! I cannot wait to have my first daughter in January
